have a pot of tea.

imagine sipping from a warm pot of tea.

when you take that first sip,

what type of tea did you imagine drinking?

is it light?

bitter?

sweet?

was the flavor,

a delicate blend of chamomile and honey?

soothing your senses with its gentle sweetness?

'cause in a world transformed by a pandemic,

a pot of tea became a sanctuary.

its warmth embraced us,

a refuge from realities.

throughout the pandemic,

our lives transformed in unpredictable ways.

in that tranquil moment,

dreams are woven into reality.

dreams intertwined with reality,

a tapestry woven with hope and hardship.

so did you dream a dream?

'cause we did.

ever wonder how one pandemic has changed all of us.

for the better or not,

it depend.

across digital landscapes,

crossing oceans.

we found solace in newfound friendships from corners of the world we'd never have explored otherwise.

new friendships blossomed,

transcending borders,

defying oceans.

oceans were crossed,

not just in miles but in experiences shared.

we navigated this uncharted territory,

how was yours like?

ours was wild.

our shared journey wild and untamed.

some said sometimes it takes ten years to get that one year that changes your life,

ours did.

let me tell you our story for CreateTogether.

and you can decide on what you think.

in life's embrace, goodbyes unfold,

as chapters unfold, in stories, they leave.

outgrowing bonds, or differences unswayed,

actions speak louder, in pandemic portrayed.

extend not the tale, beyond its decree,

friends and lovers, chapters they be.

not the entire book, our story untold,

in the novel of self, our main character bold.

friends and lovers, fleeting and fair,

each chapter, not the full affair.

pandemic whispers, masks on display,

actions echo, louder than what words convey.

like seasons changing, connections they fade,

acknowledging closure, importance portrayed.

in the dance of life, let acceptance lead,

through discomfort, we navigate, indeed.

acceptance whispers in the quiet breeze,

as connections fade like autumn leaves.

chapters of life, from school to love,

fading away, like a mourning dove.

from elementary echoes to high school's song,

friends, lovers, and echoes, all move along.

chapters pass, like whispers in the breeze,

fleeting connections, transient, as it appease.

in this transient dance, acceptance and sway,

for life's novel continues, come what may.

let the past dissolve, like morning dew,

acceptance, courage, a bittersweet brew.

futile pursuits, let them wither and fade,

in understanding's embrace, wisdom is laid.

communication's art, understanding's grace,

cease futile endeavors, let acceptance embrace.

realistic reflections on relationships' chore,

navigate changes with courage galore.

may you accept, with a brave heart, comprehend,

in life's ever-changing, evolving blend.

spirit in reflections we find,

in the flowing river, in the changing wind.

may you, like a poet of old;

Note:

Embrace goodbyes, let new tales unfold. The acceptance of goodbyes is intrinsic to life, whether it stems from outgrowing people or realizing irreconcilable differences. Words may hold little meaning compared to actions, as demonstrated during the pandemic, where simple acts like wearing masks proved more significant than verbal expressions.
Attempting to extend relationships beyond their natural conclusion only inflicts more sting. Friends or lovers are likened to chapters in a book, representing specific periods rather than the entirety of one's story. Some may be part of a chapter of your novel, but it isn't the whole book. You don't like the book. Write your own. We can be our own main character as well. The analogy underscores the transient nature of connections.
In acknowledging that some things have run their course, the message emphasizes the importance of recognizing when to accept. The pandemic serves as a reminder that actions often speak louder than words. The concluding thought underscores the inevitability of goodbyes, suggesting that acceptance, even if accompanied by discomfort, is a vital aspect of life. As we passed through elementary, middle/junior school, and high school, various friends, coworkers, and lovers, including ex-partners, gradually fade from our lives. Although the parting may sting, we've successfully navigated through it. These individuals represent chapters in our lives, not the entire novel. It's crucial to let these phases pass and allow them to sink into our past experiences. The acknowledgment that such connections are fleeting emphasizes the transient nature of these relationships, reinforcing the idea of acceptance and embracing the ongoing narrative of our lives.
Understanding and comprehending communication are highlighted as key components, as persisting in futile endeavors only perpetuates unnecessary sting for oneself and those involved. Ultimately, the reflections convey a realistic perspective on the evolving nature of relationships and the need for acceptance and understanding in navigating life's changes. May you have the courage to accept and brave enough to comprehend it.
