have a pot of tea.
imagine sipping from a warm pot of tea.
when you take that first sip,
what type of tea did you imagine drinking?
is it light?
bitter?
sweet?
was the flavor,
a delicate blend of chamomile and honey?
soothing your senses with its gentle sweetness?
'cause in a world transformed by a pandemic,
a pot of tea became a sanctuary.
its warmth embraced us,
a refuge from realities.
throughout the pandemic,
our lives transformed in unpredictable ways.
in that tranquil moment,
dreams are woven into reality.
dreams intertwined with reality,
a tapestry woven with hope and hardship.
so did you dream a dream?
'cause we did.
ever wonder how one pandemic has changed all of us.
for the better or not,
it depend.
across digital landscapes,
crossing oceans.
we found solace in newfound friendships from corners of the world we'd never have explored otherwise.
new friendships blossomed,
transcending borders,
defying oceans.
oceans were crossed,
not just in miles but in experiences shared.
we navigated this uncharted territory,
how was yours like?
ours was wild.
our shared journey wild and untamed.
some said sometimes it takes ten years to get that one year that changes your life,
ours did.
let me tell you our story for CreateTogether.
and you can decide on what you think.
life at first disappointment.
you have disappointed it—
more than words can express,
more than anyone will ever know.
through the years,
less than five have entered its life and stepped inside,
truly crossed the door it rarely opens.
& you—
you were just one step away.
one step at the threshold, front door.
one step.
it poured its heart,
shared and offered the pieces no one had touched,
spilled secrets locked in shadows.
& still, it will carry yours to its grave,
no matter what,
even if you didn’t.
it watered others and itself,
fed the fragile strings of trust,
believed in the bonds its chose to build.
you made promises—
& you shattered them.
& you will never know
how much that hurt.
to others, friendship is just a word.
to it, it is everything,
more than anyone could ever understand.
more than romance,
sometimes more than family.
so it must be completely spotless, pristine—
not a speck of dust,
not a whistle of stain.
it has never carried dirt upon itself before or ever,
not even the tiniest bit,
not a single dust,
& never will.
but it trusted you.
with others,
it can turn and walk away,
without second thought,
without hesitation,
without regret.
but with you—
it can’t lift a finger to hurt you, condemn you,
it cannot lift a hand to strike even.
so how could you?
how could you?
since it cannot bear to retaliate,
it will simply let time erase it all.
it will fade from your life,
like it never exist,
like ink washed away by the rain.
perhaps this is a lesson for you,
or for it,
or perhaps not.
regardless,
even when gold mends a crack,
the crack stays—
a hollow space that will never be the same,
never whole again.
it never pushed you for answers,
never demanded explanations or reasons.
it told you clearly—
if you do not wish to speak, then don’t.
yet, somehow,
you still made it feel like something used up and discarded,
cast aside.
hurting it.
if you truly loved,
would harming it ever cross your mind?
you wouldn’t even consider hurting it.
if you truly cared,
would you have shattered it so easily?
you wouldn’t destroy who they are,
tear them apart,
nor strip away its essence.
your actions spoke louder than words,
screamed over every apology,
drowning out everything you once said,
you crossed a line.
& now,
you and it shall remain like two parallel lines—
destined never to meet again.
you may believe this is just a joke,
that it will forgive, forget like before—
& it will.
but some things cannot be undone.
some roads cannot be retraced.
can't go back to where they left off,
can't be reversible,
some doors, once closed,
will never open again.
it refuses to have its heart trampled once more.
& now,
the two of them are like two hearts that will never beat in rhythm again—
in every life,
may they never meet again,
two hearts fated to beat forever apart.
two hearts, forever out of sync,
two friendship's souls, never to meet again, ever;
